Target size mode

Enter the maximum size you need (Discord: 10 MB on free accounts, WhatsApp: 100 MB, Gmail attachments: 25 MB). The tool calculates the bitrate from the video's duration, leaving room for audio, and encodes with H.264.

What saves the most space

Resolution has the biggest effect: 1080p to 720p roughly halves the size at the same perceived quality. Lowering the frame rate from 60 to 30 fps also helps for screen recordings and gameplay.

No. Processing uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly and runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Why is it slower than desktop software?

Browser processing runs on a single CPU thread without hardware encoders. Short clips finish quickly; for long 4K videos, reducing the resolution to 1080p or 720p speeds things up considerably.
