PDF Portable Document Format
PDF fixes the layout of a document so it looks the same on every screen and printer. It can contain text, vector graphics, images, forms and signatures, which is why it is the standard for invoices, contracts and forms.
JPG Joint Photographic Experts Group
JPG (also written JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Its lossy compression discards detail the eye is less sensitive to, which makes photos small enough for email, upload forms and print services that accept nothing else.

Choosing the right resolution
Pages are rendered at the DPI you choose. 150 DPI is plenty for viewing on screen and sharing in chat; 300 DPI matches print quality and keeps small text sharp for OCR, at about four times the file size. Every page becomes its own JPG, and you can download them all as one ZIP.
Why convert PDF to JPG?
Images are easier to post on social media, insert into slides, preview in chat apps and attach to forms that only accept pictures. JPG is the most compatible choice and keeps file sizes small for scanned pages and photos.
Page selection and resolution
Convert every page or a selection such as 1-3, 7. Choose 72 to 300 DPI: higher values give sharper text and larger files. Single pages download directly; multiple pages can be saved together as a ZIP.
