Fast cut copies the original streams, so it is instant and lossless, but it can only start at a keyframe, which may be up to a few seconds before your chosen time. Precise cut re-encodes the clip for frame-accurate start and end points.

Browser processing runs on a single CPU thread without hardware encoders. Short clips finish quickly; for long 4K videos, reducing the resolution to 1080p or 720p speeds things up considerably.
