SVG

SVG Scalable Vector Graphics

SVG describes shapes, paths and text as XML instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It is the standard for logos and icons on the web.

JPG

JPG Joint Photographic Experts Group

JPG (also written JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Its lossy compression discards detail the eye is less sensitive to, which makes photos small enough for email, upload forms and print services that accept nothing else.

Why convert SVG to JPG?

SVG files come from logo packs, icon libraries, Figma and Illustrator exports, and website assets. Many apps, social networks and office tools only accept raster images like PNG or JPG. Choose JPG when the file has to be accepted everywhere: upload forms, email, print shops and older software.

SVG to JPG settings

Use the quality slider to balance size against detail; 80 to 90 percent is a good default for JPG. Pick a background colour to replace transparent areas. Set the output width to render the vector at any resolution without blurring. You can also cap the width and height, which resizes large photos in the same step.

Frequently asked questions

Will the JPG lose quality?

No. The SVG is drawn fresh at the width you choose, so the JPG is sharp at that size apart from normal compression at the quality you set. It only looks soft if it is later enlarged beyond that width.

Is transparency kept when converting SVG to JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a solid colour. White is used by default; you can pick any background colour in the options before converting.

What resolution will the JPG be?

Whatever width you choose. SVG is a vector format with no fixed pixel size, so the converter draws it fresh at the width you set and keeps the proportions. For a logo on a website, 2× the size it is displayed at keeps it sharp on high-density screens.
