Which format should I choose?
Use JPG for photos that need to work everywhere, PNG for screenshots, logos and transparency, WebP or AVIF for websites where file size matters, and ICO for favicons. The format guides on each conversion page explain the trade-offs in detail.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Images are decoded and processed by your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, which also makes the tool fast for large batches.
Is there a limit on how many images I can convert?
There is no fixed limit. Very large batches are limited only by your device's memory; converting a few hundred photos at once works on a typical laptop.
